A two-week hybrid learning experience that combines online lectures with on-site learning, field excursions, and interaction with German students and lecturers

We invite students from partner universities to apply for participation in the ConnectED Learning Camp 2026, organised at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE). The Learning Camp is designed as a two-week hybrid learning experience that combines online lectures with on-site learning, field excursions, and interaction with German students and lecturers. The camp is organised within the pilot implementation of the course “Close-to-Nature Silviculture”, jointly developed by Ukrainian and German professors within the ConnectED Network, as part of the project “ConnectED: German–Ukrainian University Network for Empowering Higher Education in Environmental Protection and Nature Conservation.”
Learning Format
📅 Week 1 (11-15 May) – Online learning
Participants will attend online lectures and introductory sessions.
*The participation in an online lectures is mandatory for selected participants to come to Eberswalde.
📍 Week 2 (18-22 May) – On-site learning in Eberswalde, Germany
Students will participate in lectures, field excursions, and interactive sessions together with students from Germany at Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE).
The course will be delivered in a hybrid language format (Ukrainian and English).
Who Can Apply
Applications are open to Bachelor’s and Master’s students who are currently enrolled in study programmes related to forestry, environmental sciences, natural resource management, or other closely related fields. Students with an academic interest in sustainable forest management, ecology, and environmental protection are especially encouraged to apply.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Be currently enrolled at a partner university
- Have an academic background related to forestry, ecology, or environmental sciences
- Possess English language proficiency at least at B1 level
- Be motivated to participate in an international learning experience
The application deadline is 31 March 2026.
