Brief Biography

Yuriy Myklush graduated with honors magistracy of Ukrainian National Forestry University and finished master’s degree program “Euroforester” at the Swedish Agricultural University (thesis available on https://stud.epsilon.slu.se/2282/).

From 2009 to 2012 he had been carrying out postgraduate studies at UNFU, and in March 2013 defended thesis on topic “Silvicultural and recreational features of forests of green zone of the city Lviv and organization of sustainable management in them” in the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine in the Kiev, Ukraine.

From December 2011 to March 2012 he had been undergoing an internship at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (m. Laxenburg, Austria), which successfully completed by providing open seminars in English positively assessed by the institution staff. During following years, he has been constantly trained at leading universities worldwide.

Yuriy Myklush has been actively working on urgent and important forestry issues for Ukraine, namely the assessment of forest resources by ground & remote methods using modern GIS and remote sensing materials.

He fluently speaks Ukrainian, Russian, and English.
